Beyond Limits: Unrealized Artworks of Chris Burden

Bridging the latest in technology and traditional art, TRLab partnered with the Chris Burden Estate to unveil Beyond Limits: Unrealized Artworks of Chris Burden. As one of the most important conceptual artists since the 70s, Chris Burden (1946-2015) left behind a large quantity of unrealized, but documented, projects when he passed away at age 69. Beyond Limits provides a digital realm for participants to engage with Burden’s work and experience his unrealized works in a virtual 3-D environment. Proceeds from each sale will support the Chris Burden Estate’s continued conservation and restoration of Burden’s realized works, as well as contributing to efforts for realizing works which remain unrealized in the physical world.
